== EVENT INFO ==
= FOOD & DRINKING WATER =
Included in your entry is a full feast and drink bar (tea, coffee, etc).
Food is being provided for all entries, both pre-reg and day-of. The more players that pre-register the better we will be in planning food options!
There will also be snacks/appetizer food provided as well.
We will NOT be providing feastware for the feast as the meal will be in-game; please make sure you bring feastware!
There will be basic feastware available for sale.
There will be water onsite available.
= CAMPING, BATHROOMS, FIRES, WATER, & ELECTRICITY =
- There is NO camping available at this event... it is February after all.
- There is a bathroom available onsite for use.
- Campfires are not allowed as this is indoors.
- There is running water at the site.
- There is electricity available at this site.
= NON-COMBAT EVENT =
All fighting that can take place at this event must be coordinated ahead of time. We are in a rented building, so we cannot have any open combat during this event. This does not mean that you are forcibly disarmed (unless an in-game reason demands it) it just means that you as a player cannot do combat due to the damage we could inflict on property. Should your characters be in a situation where combat could erupt, contact a Herald to choreograph or coordinate it.
= REGISTRATION AREA & PLAYING FIELD INFO =
Wausau, WI (Sunday)
- We will try to mark the outside of the building with gold signs so it can be found easily.
- We are indoors for this event and have a building reserved for our group.
- Players are free to come and go in the building as they see fit.
- Based on the location, there may be an outdoors "private socializing" area available if it can meet decorum standards. If an option, this will be detailed in the day-of briefing.
= NIGHT CONDITIONS =
This event will not take place during night conditions.
= WEATHER CONDITIONS =
This event is indoors and temperature stable.
= NPC ROLE SIGN-UP & PRE-REG/PREPAY =
There are several NPC roles available during this event. If you are interested in playing an NPC role, please contact us ahead of time to let us know... see below for options.
There are NO dedicated monster roles needed for this event.
- The "NPC Sign-Up Deadline" is the same cut-off as the pre-pay deadline (by Friday, 2/9/18) and this will add you to the list to get a more detailed or involved NPC. This gives us time to flesh out a backstory, details, and how your NPC can impact the scenario. You are also required to pay ahead of time via the pre-reg/pre-pay options AND EMAIL US to let us know what kind of NPC you prefer. The staff will then email you back your detailed NPC role before the event, usually a bit after the pre-reg deadline ends. This also gets you on the list for the provided meal.
= PC PRE-REG / FASTER CHECK-IN / SKILL UPDATES =
- The "PC Pre-Reg/Pre-Pay Deadline" is the week before the event (by Friday, 2/9/18) and this will place you on the list to get the pre-reg meal and automatically add you to the "Faster Check-In" line, allowing you to register much quicker at the event.
- Players who miss the Pre-Reg/Pre-Pay deadline may still sign up for the "Faster Check-In" by emailing us ahead of time. (Before Wednesday, so NO LATER THAN Midnight, Tuesday, 2/13/18)
- If you have updates to your PC, DO THEM AHEAD OF TIME AND EMAIL US THE CHANGES!!! You cannot do skill updates and the "Faster Check-In" as we prepare your card/bag/wristband/etc early in preparation of your arrival and day-of PCs can wait until after registration is complete for the majority of the players and then, IF WE HAVE TIME, we can update your PC skills. There is no guarantee we can do this at an event due to the registration time needs.
= LATE PLAYERS =
We are following a stricter time-block for check-in/registration moving forward, so players will be expected to arrive on time to get registered and then attend the game briefing. If a player is going to be late and they are going to arrive after registration closes, they are expected to notify the staff by emailing the lasthopelarp@gmail.com address to let us know. This allows us to pull the PC cards and info and prepare their items for when they arrive. Failure to do this will result in an exp penalty if a player arrives after reg closes but before the briefing, or a forced NPC role if the player arrives after the briefing. This does not mean we do not have wiggle room; all you have to do is notify us ahead of time via email so we can prepare accordingly.
= EVENT SPECIAL MECHANICS =
None at this time.
= RESOURCE USAGE =
Players may have a PC/PCs use a Resource skill to make an impact on an event but only if they are planning on attending the upcoming event.
Resource Usage for this event needs to be submitted VIA EMAIL no later than midnight on 1/5/18. Information gained from this Resource usage will be available at Check-In at the event; IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ASK FOR THAT INFO! Players should please try to make sure they are going to be in attendance before sending in their Resource usage.
= MANDATORY CHECK-OUT =
All players are required to properly check-out at every event. Make sure you plan on doing this by seeking out a Herald to turn in your PC card and relevant game props along with you and your equipment's condition.
We will be doing a Check-Out after each day so that players can turn in their items.
If you checkout as a PC, you may not "check back in" after a period of time. Once you check out as a PC, your PC is done for the event day.
There may be limitations on how and where PCs can check out at an event; ask instead of assuming if you feel like your PC would leave early, and then staff can assign you a role after that.

Clan Ironmound Social Dinner
Sunday, 11am to 4pm
Last month's honored hunt with the Great Wolf was a momentous occasion for the Ulven people. Warriors from all across Mardrun volunteered to be deemed worthy to join the Great Hunt. This honored event, combined with the recent Grand Moot, has raised the morale of the Ulven people considerably. The entire continent seems to be lit up with excitement over this turn of events and the start to this new year with purpose.
Honored as it may be, the Great Hunt is also a terribly bloody event... numerous war packs and dozens upon dozens of ulven are killed during these hunts. The mordok are fought and slaughtered every chance the ulven get and combined with the efforts to clear the forest by adventurers and local warriors, the Great Forest on Mardrun is almost entirely cleared of Mordok. The army of mordok that used the forest to devastate the former Clan Riverhead is no more. Save for a handful of scattered mordok and the surviving shaman that was sighted, the Great Forest is deemed clear. Now, attention turns north to the swamp.
The Wardens, a new faction based out of Clan Ironmound, has been tasked with using their home settlement with being a host to a number of visitors and potential allies or partners to this "shield of mardrun" project. The largest obstacle is the logistical challenge of getting warriors, supplies, and building materials north. This is no small feat and just the coordination alone could prove to be the biggest enemy to this bold new plan. Clan Ironmound has volunteered to become a "central hub" for the coordination north towards the Dirge. Merchants, nobles, warpack leaders and people of note are expected to travel to Clan Ironmound to find a way to get involved... or find a way to profit or gain from this large scale venture.
Whether the momentum of the unified ulven people continues to drive onward or stalls under the weight of logistics and deep rooted feuds has yet to be determined.
