= PRE-REG FOOD & DRINKING WATER =
Pre-registered players will be provided a small meal each day. Only pre-registered players (PCs, NPCs, Monsters, etc) will be added to the list for food as this helps us plan ahead of time. You are expected to bring your own.
*** The provided meal is intended as a supplement and will not be sufficient to tide you over for the entire day. Appropriate in game eating utensils will NOT be provided by the game. Plan ahead, be self sufficient, and bring your own food/water!***
Water will be available “in town” and will be refilled each morning, but must be carried to that location using in game means once the game is started. If everyone relies exclusively on the town’s water supply players will need to organize an expedition to carry more water to town. Players are responsible for carrying their own water while they are out of camp, and must either use in game appropriate containers or have their modern containers discretely covered both while carrying them and while drinking.
= MORKLAND PROPERTY INFO =
- There is NO running water and NO electricity in the in-game area and the out-of-game camping area. Plan accordingly!
- Players will be driving and parking on a road near the property and walking into the game field. This will be coordinated at the event.
- Garbage must be picked up and thrown away in trash cans or taken back with you, DO NOT THROW GARBAGE INTO FIRE PITS!
- Players must be respectful to the property; no peeling out or digging up ruts with vehicles.
- Do use nails on any trees; anything hung in or on the trees must be tied or lashed.
- This is the north of Wisconsin; there is wildlife. Do not mess with any animals and listen/follow the guidelines of the property owners.
- No players are to enter or use any deer stands or structures unless they have been specifically marked for game use; ask and confirm, do not assume!
- It is recommended that players bring a cell-phone or GPS with them in case they become separated from the group . We will have maps available to review to see the property but being separated could happen on a 600+ acre property. Cell coverage will be spotty at best when in the game area. If you are worried that you may become separated from the group and are unsure of your land nav skills, consider downloading the WI DNR app “Pocket Ranger”, this app allows users to cache maps for use in areas without mobile data. Cell radios operate on in the VHF range and are affected by terrain masking, if you need to make a call for emergency reasons your best bet for getting signal is to climb to the top of a hill.
- There will be boundaries marking the roads and trails we are using in-game for this event; this will be explained to you in detail during the event briefing.
= CAMPING & BATHROOM & FIRE INFO =
The location where players are camping out-of-game is the parking lot area. There will be an area available for in-game camping near the outpost/game area if players want to camp in-game. Anyone setting up in-game tents MUST DO SO before game is on; you CANNOT disturb the game area by walking in and setting up your tents (unless everything is decorum approved).
There will be NO running water at this event. We will have some, but YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN DRINKING/CAMPING WATER.
We will be renting a port-a-potty for this event which will be near the in-game outpost area, the out-of-game parking and camping area will have a lug-a-loo portable toilet. If enough people show interest in out of game camping, we may be able to rent a second port-a-potty for the out of game area.
For anyone wanting to stay in the area and not camp, the closest hotel is the Mole Lake Casino and Lodge; info available at www.molelakecasino.com
Players may use a portable camp-stove in the out-of-game camping areas but no fire pits can be used unless directly supervised by a Herald. The in-game outpost will have a fire pit available to use for warmth and cooking. Portable camp-stoves can be used in the in-game camping area as long as they are decorum approved or covered completely from view. Ask a Herald before using any stoves in-game.
= REGISTRATION AREA & PLAYING FIELD INFO =
DAY 1 (Friday)
- The main registration area will be at the southern of the two parking lots just off the road near the out of game camping area.
- Players may park their vehicles either at the out of game camping area and walk to the in game area, or park at the northern parking lot and walk to the in game area. Players may drive their vehicles to the outpost before game on, but must vacate the game area prior to 4:00.
- Players arriving after game on will need to notify a staff member to get checked-in and NOT disturb the game in progress. You can do this by discreetly finding a staff member at the outpost and having them assist you. See game map for details.
- Exact boundaries for the event will be discussed at the game briefing

- Players arriving after game on will need to notify a staff member to get checked-in and NOT disturb the game in progress. You can do this by discreetly finding a staff member at the outpost and having them assist you. See game map for details.

= NIGHT CONDITIONS =
Some of the event will be during Night Game conditions, so please plan accordingly!
Lanterns will NOT be provided to players so if you need light, plan ahead. After 8:22pm, spells MUST have applicable glow bracelets and arrows MUST have yellow glow bracelets or some sort of approved glowing/light device.
*** Do not use large glowsticks on arrows or spells; they are too big and can cause injury! Use cheap glow bracelets or mini illumination sticks to attach around spells or onto arrows.***
= WEATHER CONDITIONS =
Wisconsin can have weather that changes drastically... plan accordingly!
It could be rather warm during the day and then dip down quite a bit at night. You are encouraged to bring some extra garb and layers so you can dress based on the weather. Rain will not stop the event but storms may force us to pause or end early, based on conditions. Plan accordingly!
The property is made up of a fair amount of swamp and wetland, plan accordingly by bringing a change of footwear or dry socks for after the event. Extra boots, dry socks, etc.
Players should be prepared to bring bug spray; the bugs/ticks may be out already but shouldn’t be as bad as later in the season.
= PLAYER CONTRACTS & TUTORIALS =
All players MUST go through a Player Contract each year.
= NPC ROLE SIGN-UP & PRE-REG/PREPAY =
There are several NPC roles available during this event. If you are interested in playing an NPC role, please contact us ahead of time to let us know... see below for options.
- The "NPC Pre-Reg/Pre-Pay Deadline" is 1 week prior to the event (by Friday, 5/12/17) and this will add you to the list to get a meal each day, as well as a more detailed or involved NPC. This gives us time to flesh out a backstory, details, and how your NPC can impact the scenario. You are also required to pay ahead of time via the pre-reg/pre-pay options AND EMAIL US to let us know what kind of NPC you prefer. The staff will then email you back your detailed NPC role before the event, usually a bit after the pre-reg deadline ends. This will also earn you 5 exp per event day instead of the standard 3 NPC exp per event day.
= PC PRE-REG / FASTER CHECK-IN / LATE PLAYERS =
- The "PC Pre-Reg/Pre-Pay Deadline" is 1 week prior to the event (by Friday, 5/12/17) and this will place you on the list to get the pre-reg meal and automatically add you to the "Faster Check-In" line, allowing you to register much quicker at the event.
- Players who miss the Pre-Reg/Pre-Pay deadline may still sign up or the "Faster Check-In" by emailing us ahead of time. (No later than Midnight, Wednesday, 5/17/17) If you have updates to your PC, DO THEM AHEAD OF TIME AND EMAIL US THE CHANGES; you cannot do skill updates and the "Faster Check-In" as we prepare your card/bag/wristband/etc early in preparation of your arrival.
We are following a stricter time-block for check-in/registration moving forward, so players will be expected to arrive on time to get registered and then attend the game briefing. If a player knows they are going to be late and they are going to arrive after registration closes, they are expected to notify the staff by emailing lasthopelarp@gmail.com to let us know. This allows us to pull the PC cards and info and prepare their items for when they arrive. Failure to do this will result in an exp penalty if a player arrives after reg closes but before the briefing, or a forced NPC role if the player arrives after the briefing. This does not mean we do not have wiggle room; all you have to do is notify us ahead of time via email so we can prepare accordingly.
= RESOURCE USAGE =
Players may have a PC/PCs use a Resource skill to make an impact on an event but only if they are planning on attending the upcoming event.
Resource Usage for this event needs to be submitted VIA EMAIL no later than midnight on 5/5/17, following our standard Faction & Resource use/actions deadline. Information gained from this Resource usage will be available at Check-In at the event; IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ASK FOR THAT INFO! Players should please try to make sure they are going to be in attendance before sending in their Resource usage.
= MANDATORY CHECK-OUT =
All players are required to properly check-out at every event. Make sure you plan on doing this by seeking out a Herald to turn in your PC card and relevant game props along with you and your equipment's condition.
We will be doing a Check-Out after each day so that players can turn in their items.
If you checkout as a PC, you may not "check back in" after a period of time. Once you check out as a PC, your PC is done for the event day.
There may be limitations on how and where PCs can check out at an event; ask instead of assuming if you feel like your PC would leave early, and then staff can assign you a role after that.
To ensure the safety of players, all players must check-out with the staff as normal, but this is highly important and emphasized at this event due to it being a larger property. Yes, we will be marking the game-boundaries to some degree, but we need to know when people leave the event so we don’t try to account for them later on.
== STORY INFO ==
Keeping up with the Richards
Following his successful campaign against Clan Squallborn, Prince Aylin worked to solidify his new holdings into what is now known as Aylin’s Reach. New Aldoria (and their Clan Stormjarl allies) have been able to build a series of defensive outposts which keep organized attacks at bay, although it is impossible to stop small bands of raiders from slipping through to harass supply lines and travelers. With the recent “acquisitions” New Hope has gained in former Nightriver territory, the Prince feels it is best to improve his economic base within Aylin’s Reach far away from the influence of the fledgling city-state. To this effect, he has ordered that the villages and outposts left behind by Clan Squallborn in their retreat be re-activated. He is offering generous compensation to private individuals who wish to assist in this process or provide security for those who wish to do so. The small outpost of Sandmaw is one of the first on the list, and peoples from many backgrounds are flocking there to take advantage of the Prince’s offer.
