== EVENT INFO ==
= PRE-REG FOOD & DRINKING WATER =
Pre-registered players will be provided a small meal on Saturday. Only pre-registered players (PCs, NPCs, Monsters, etc) will be added to the list for food as this helps us plan ahead of time.
*** You should plan on bringing some extra food and snacks to tide you over as no food will be provided the rest of the day. ***
We will NOT be providing any feastware for the feast as both meals will be in-game.
There will be some water brought in for use but players should plan to bring their own and carry it with them.
** Plan ahead, be self sufficient, and bring your own food/water! ***
= CAMPING, BATHROOMS, FIRES, WATER, & ELECTRICITY =
Rock Springs:
- There is NO camping available at this event, but players are free to stay at any of the campgrounds in the area. (Player's responsibility)
- There is an outhouse available onsite for use; we ask that guys use their "Man Perk" and pee in the woods so the outhouse doesn't fill up too fast. DO NOT USE THE TOILET AS A GARBAGE!
- A campfire is allowed at the main outpost of the property in the fire-pit but nowhere else. This will be a community fire.
- There is NO running water; you must bring your own in.
- There is NO electricity onsite.
= REGISTRATION AREA & PLAYING FIELD INFO =
Rock Springs:
- The main registration area will be in the parking / top of the hill area as usual but might be moved down to the road if conditions are wet.
- Players will be able to park their vehicles in the main parking / top of the hill area. However, if conditions are sloppy / rainy then vehicles CANNOT be used to drive up and down the hill this early in the year as the vehicles damage the driveway, and players must WALK everything into the game either on their packs or on sleds/carts.We will not know if vehicles are allowed to be driven up the hill until the day of the event.
- No hunting stands, towers, or buildings may be used unless designated as approved.
- Players must not disturb any planted gardens or food plots on the land.
- There are honey bee hives on the property but are located far away from where players will normally be at. If you are allergic, be advised that there will be a higher chance of running into honey bees at the field.
- Garbage must be picked up and thrown away in trash cans or taken back with you, DO NOT THROW GARBAGE INTO FIRE PITS!
= NIGHT CONDITIONS =
We will NOT be playing during night conditions; players will NOT need glow bracelets for spells or illumination for arrows.
= WEATHER CONDITIONS =
This event is in June, so plan accordingly! There will most likely by swampy/mucky conditions in some areas, bugs, and hot/humid temperatures. Bring sunblock or something to keep the sun off of your skin (like a light head wrap, shemagh, or sheet) if you feel like it is necessary.
= PLAYER CONTRACTS & TUTORIALS =
All players MUST go through a Player Contract each year.
We will attempt to do another round of player contracts just before the event begins, if time allows.
= NPC ROLE SIGN-UP & PRE-REG/PREPAY =
There are several NPC roles available during this event. If you are interested in playing an NPC role, please contact us ahead of time to let us know... see below for options. We are also looking for players willing to mordok for part of the event; all mordok volunteers will actually have a split shift NPC role for the day.
- The "NPC Pre-Reg/Pre-Pay Deadline" is 1 week prior to the event (by Friday, 6/2/17) and this will add you to the list to get a meal each day, as well as a more detailed or involved NPC. This gives us time to flesh out a backstory, details, and how your NPC can impact the scenario. You are also required to pay ahead of time via the pre-reg/pre-pay options AND EMAIL US to let us know what kind of NPC you prefer. The staff will then email you back your detailed NPC role before the event, usually a bit after the pre-reg deadline ends. This will also earn you 5 exp per event day instead of the standard 3 NPC exp per event day.
= PC PRE-REG / FASTER CHECK-IN =
- The "PC Pre-Reg/Pre-Pay Deadline" is 1 week prior to the event (by Friday, 6/2/17) and this will place you on the list to get the pre-reg meal and automatically add you to the "Faster Check-In" line, allowing you to register much quicker at the event.
- Players who miss the Pre-Reg/Pre-Pay deadline may still sign up or the "Faster Check-In" by emailing us ahead of time. (No later than Midnight, Wednesday, 6/7/17) If you have updates to your PC, DO THEM AHEAD OF TIME AND EMAIL US THE CHANGES; you cannot do skill updates and the "Faster Check-In" as we prepare your card/bag/wristband/etc early in preparation of your arrival.
= LATE PLAYERS =
We are following a stricter time-block for check-in/registration moving forward, so players will be expected to arrive on time to get registered and then attend the game briefing. If a player is going to be late and they are going to arrive after registration closes, they are expected to notify the staff by emailing the lasthopelarp@gmail.com address to let us know. This allows us to pull the PC cards and info and prepare their items for when they arrive. Failure to do this will result in an exp penalty if a player arrives after reg closes but before the briefing, or a forced NPC role if the player arrives after the briefing. This does not mean we do not have wiggle room; all you have to do is notify us ahead of time via email so we can prepare accordingly.
= RESOURCE USAGE =
Players may have a PC use a Resource skill to make an impact on an event but only if they are planning on attending the upcoming event.
Resource Usage for this event needs to be submitted VIA EMAIL no later than midnight on 6/5/17, following our standard Faction & Resource use/actions deadline. Information gained from this Resource usage will be available at Check-In at the event; IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ASK FOR THAT INFO! Players should please try to make sure they are going to be in attendance before sending in their Resource usage.
= MANDATORY CHECK-OUT =
All players are required to properly check-out at every event. Make sure you plan on doing this by seeking out a Herald to turn in your PC card and relevant game props along with you and your equipment's condition.
We will be doing a Check-Out after each day so that players can turn in their items.
If you checkout as a PC, you may not "check back in" after a period of time. Once you check out as a PC, your PC is done for the event day.
There may be limitations on how and where PCs can check out at an event; ask instead of assuming if you feel like your PC would leave early, and then staff can assign you a role after that.
== STORY INFO ==
What We Left Behind
Despite valiant effort on the parts of several groups, help has been too little and too late to drive the Mordok from the territory of Clan Riverhead and the Clan has been broken. The last few months have been rough on the people of Riverhead as defensive lines have found their people giving up immense amounts of land to the Mordok army that has come out of the Great Forest. The Mordok are random and brutal in their tactics without a single decisive battle to determine the outcome in the Great Forest. Allies from numerous Clans have arrived to help but without a cohesive plan and most of Riverhead already raided or razed during the initial onslaughts, the future of the Clan looks bleak.
Renewed hope comes from an unlikely ally as Clan Grimward has requested, and been granted permission, to march it’s warpacks through the pass and provide cover for a final retreat. A calling has been made to Clans and settlements for those able to assist in the evacuation of those still trapped between The Great Forest and The Great Wolf’s Hackles. High Priestess Lyrri Riverhead of Clan Riverhead has made a plea for a small well armed group to assist her in the transportation of an undisclosed cargo, which is said to be vital to any chance of retaking the lost lands and for protecting her people in the time to come.
With the whole of Mardrun focusing on expanding infrastructure and growing settlements, Clan Riverhead has endured the brunt of the Mordok onslaught. While this devastation may be the rallying cry to finally bring the Ulven Clans together to fight back large-scale against the Mordok, that sentiment means little to the people of Clan Riverhead who have either fled their homes, been hiding out in isolated villages, or have been cut off from a valid means of escape.
Scenario Mechanics:
In this scenario, players will play either a rescue effort or civilians trying endure and find a way out of mordok infested territories. Whether it be coordinating supplies, people, or proper escape routes to evade or outrun the pursuing mordok, those assembled will need to work together to complete the only real objective of the event... survive.
