== EVENT INFO ==
= FOOD AND WATER =
We are eating at the Old Feed Mill. They are providing a breakfast brunch buffet. All feastware will be included for this event but feel free bring your appropriate in-game containers for drinks but glasses are provided if you choose not to.
= NON-COMBAT EVENT =
All fighting that can take place at this event must be coordinated ahead of time. We are at a restaurant, so we cannot have any open combat during this event. This does not mean that you are forcibly disarmed (unless an in-game reason demands it) it just means that you as a player cannot do combat due to the damage we could inflict on restaurant property. Should your characters be in a situation where combat could erupt, contact a Herald to choreograph or coordinate it.
= PLAYER CONTRACTS & TUTORIALS =
We will be doing player contracts after the event. All players MUST go through a Player Contract each year. Please plan on staying after the event to go through a player contract if needed.
If you have already gone through the training and tutorials, then feel free to use this time as an open social or coordinate with other players/staff.
= NPC ROLE PRE-REG / FASTER CHECK-IN =
There are several NPC roles available during this event. If you are interested in playing an NPC role, please contact us ahead of time to let us know.
Anyone who emails us 2 weeks prior to the event (by Sunday, 2/5/17) will earn 5 exp instead of 3 exp for their NPC role and will be added to the list to get a more detailed/involved NPC role.
Any players that pre-reg for an NPC role early are also added to the faster check-in line for the event.
= PC PRE-REG / FASTER CHECK-IN / LATE PLAYERS =
Players that pre-reg as their PC by emailing us ahead of time will be added to our pre-reg list, allowing you a faster check-in.
*** The deadline for this pre-reg is the same date as the resource usage; the Wednesday before the event no later than Midnight, 2/15/17.***
Email us at lasthopelarp@gmail.com with your name and PC name to be added to the pre-reg/faster check-in list. If you have updates to your PC, DO THEM AHEAD OF TIME; you cannot do skill updates and the faster check-in as we prepare your card/bag/wristband/etc early in preparation of your arrival.
We are following a stricter time-block for check-in/registration moving forward, so players will be expected to arrive on time to get registered and then attend the game briefing. If a player is going to be late and they are going to arrive after registration closes, they are expected to notify the staff by emailing the lasthopelarp@gmail.com address to let us know. This allows us to pull the PC cards and info and prepare their items for when they arrive. Failure to do this will result in an exp penalty if a player arrives after reg closes but before the briefing, or a forced NPC role if the player arrives after the briefing. This does not mean we do not have wiggle room; all you have to do is notify us ahead of time via email so we can prepare accordingly.
= RESOURCE USAGE =
Resource Usage for this event needs to be submitted no later than midnight, Wednesday 02/15/17. Information gained from this Resource usage will be available at Check-In at the event; IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ASK FOR THAT INFO! Players should please try to make sure they are going to be in attendance before sending in their Resource usage.
= MANDATORY CHECK-OUT =
All players are required to properly check-out at every event. Make sure you plan on doing this by seeking out a Herald to turn in your PC card and relevant game props along with you and your equipment's condition.
== STORY INFO ==
Once again during the cold of winter, prominent figures around Mardrun plan on meeting to discuss actions for the upcoming year. Amidst the chaos gripping Mardrun of the corruption and the changing tactics of the Mordok, the colonies in Clan Nightriver territory continue on with agendas that see a different kind of focus.
Lord Baron Richards and the Council of Ten have let it be known that Newhope is no longer a colony of Faedrun and is to be henceforth known as the City-State of Newhope. This news comes to a shock to a number of people around the continent as the specifics in the background are not yet known. What does this mean for Newhope’s future? What kind of change has happened in regards to the land owned by Clan Nightriver? Assumptions spread like wildfire but it is too early to tell.
To mark this occasion, the City-State of Newhope will be commissioning a Great Work. Several ideas have been put forth by members of the Council for consideration. The Marquess Madeline d’Argent has put forth that the best way to showcase Newhope’s martial strength is to send an armed force to push past the swamp and explore the lands beyond it. The Celestial Arragones, backed by the voices of Lord and Lady Al-Azarma, suggests that the knowledge of Newhope could best be expanded by sending an expedition back to Faedrun to recover books, items of power, and religious artifacts from Tielorrien and other kingdoms. She offers to build a grand library in her district to allow for public viewing of these treasures and further research projects. Dominet Martingale of Westhaven and Duke Joakim Ventrini call for the construction of a great Colosseum in the center of Newhope in order to better showcase the culture of Newhope and provide sporting games to the populace. The Lictor Mary cul Tricuspis proposes the construction of a grand forum where the leaders of Mardrun can discuss and codify laws that may hold sway over all peoples, and where courts can be convinced to bring the justice of Newhope to everyone. Baroness Catherine and Baron Montesque de la Aleine have proposed an expansion of territories, farmlands, and trade-craft programs to help stimulate the economy and agriculture. The public is also encouraged to put forth any ideas they may feel better suited to showcasing the City-State of Newhope. To that end, the Council of Ten and/or their appointed representatives will be holding a series of small public audiences to hear suggestions as to what the people feel this Great Work could entail.
As rumors begin to grow as to what the future goals are of the Council of Ten, one thing is for certain; the ruling nobles will be deciding on and then placing immense focus and resources into this Great Work.
